	Tour Overview: 60 years have passed since that snowy winter of 1944, when the Allied Armies stood on the doorstep of Germany and final victory over the Third Reich. Hitler however, had one last gasp. At 0530 on December 16th, he launched the final German offensive of the war as the Fifth and Sixth Panzer Armies, along with the Seventh Army stormed across the Schnee Eiffel into the Ardennes Forest of Belgium and Luxembourg. Our itinerary will follow this epic battle from the perspectives of the American and German Armies and will include stops at the major American Cemeteries relating to the battle. Our special local battlefield guide and guest historian will be Herr Klaus Schultz. Klaus is a veteran of the fighting in and around the Bulge, as a Panzer Grenadier with the German 116th “Greyhound” Infantry Division. He has written extensively of his experiences and led innumerable tours of the areas. A great friend to all veterans, we are proud to add Klaus’ local knowledge, expertise and first hand experience as a combatant, to our tour.

	Tour Overview: Guadalcanal. The name itself conjures up images of weary, under-fed, under-supplied Marines, Sailors and Soldiers tenaciously battling hordes of onrushing Japanese "Shock-troops" bent on pushing the Americans into the sea. Tulagi, Gavutu, "Iron Bottom Sound", Matanikau, Tenaru, Edson's Ridge, and Henderson Field -- all legendary names from America's first offensive ground campaign of World War II and the turning point of the war in the Pacific. The struggle for Guadalcanal, while beginning as an unexpected nuisance to Japanese war planners, was a desperate stretch for unprepared Allied forces as the US clutched to a tenuous presence in the Pacific. It was an island that neither side wanted. But this engagement swelled into an epic war of its own, a brutal six-month battle of attrition that strained the meager resources of entire nations. Our tour will focus on the initial operations in the South Pacific Area, from August - November 1942, with visits to Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands and more.
